One more gathering of paddling families in Hot Springs for camping and floating. The highlight was Ford and Jack getting their personal first descents in their own boats of French Broad Section 9.
After dropping Mame and Sam at the airport in Salt Lake City, the remaining crew drove east with some fun stops along the way.

Our last stop on the way back to Salt Lake City was the
Golden Spike monument. Got to see the Jupiter and the 119 steam into position in get up close. The volunteer reenactors were very friendly and knowledgeable. A great stop ahead of 5th grade studies around Westward Expansion and the Transcontinental Railroad.
