Day 5: Jones Hole #3 to Split Mountain
The last big push of the trip, we had about 18 miles to go to the take out. With the higher flow of the Green & Yampa combined at 16,000 cfs we were able to cover the distance in a little over 3 hours. A nice start through Whirlpool Canyon then tortured by mosquitoes and flat water in Island Park before the river narrowed again for the last big rapid - Moonshine. After that it was easy, moving water to Split Mountain.
