Los Flemings

Dashed from one spring recital to another last Sunday. Sam's was first on the campus of UNCA with his new teacher Mr. Logan. He played "Skyfall". It was followed by Jack's first Ukulele recital at the Asheville Music School with Mr. Andy with that spring time classic "Frosty the Snowman".

A wonderful celebration of their first 7 years with friends and family. Thanks to Dandy for the collaborative cake creations and to all the grands for being a part of the fun - from near or far.










And they graduated to the next size bikes.

While mom held down the fort in Asheville and Sam globe trotted, the remaining Fleming boys enjoyed a week in the Lowcountry with cooking lessons, kayaking, biking, exploring forts and even some putt putt.

Sam joined a group of middle school peers from Evergreen for a spring break trip to Costa Rica in March. They traveled all over the country. Their itinerary was packed with volcanoes, a coffee plantation, lake kayaking, a visit to the cloud forest, a crocodile boat tour, a canopy tour, horseback trail ride, and whitewater rafting. He had a great experience and is primed for future adventures. Loads more pictures if you can stand it when you drop by for a visit.

The might 02 Black had their last tournament of the 2015-2016 campaign this past weekend in Gastonia. Won their first game but lost the second to an older, bigger, faster team despite playing very solid. US youth soccer is having an age group reorganization ahead of next season so this will be their last time together before the shuffling.






Sunday's game was washed out due to torrential rain so we went for Sam's first on the water experience at the US National Whitewater Center. We both got a kick out of riding the conveyor from the lower pool back to the top.
