Petawawa paddlers
Part two of our Canada trip was a 3 day canoe trek on the Petawawa River in Algonquin Provincial Park with our friends Don & Joanne.
We put-in just below Poplar Rapids at the head of Travers Lake and camped in a lovely spot near the end of the lake.
Day 2 we paddled through some rapids
and enjoyed a dramatic campsite in The Natch overlooking the rapid.
Day 3 took us through The Chute - our one portage and across the last three lakes to our take out on McManus lake. Along the way we passed the cliffs in the Natch, stopped to do some swimming and generally goofed around.
