Week of Rivers 2015

Was a resounding success. Organized by the Carolina Canoe Club and based outside of Bryson City, it is a week long gathering of whitewater boaters. For the Fleming Five the week included several firsts - Sam's first successful roll in a kayak; Sam's first (second & third) upright attempts at Nantahala Falls; Ford & Jack's first whitewater in their own kayaks; Sam's first run on the Chattooga; Sam's first 'combat' roll (i.e. not just for practice) on the Chattooga; Mame's first solo canoe run on the Chattooga; and Ben & Mame's first highwater run on the Upper Nantahala.
