ALF'd

I'm back from a rejuvenating week in E. Tennessee courtesy of my lovely wife. In the sub-culture of whitewater paddlers there is a sub-sub-culture of c-boaters, folks that paddle canoes of various kinds. And in this community there is one particular character named Louie who lives in the vicinity of Lenoir City, TN. A few years back a group of c-boaters gathered for a week of paddling and decided to make it a yearly affair but keep it informal and so was born the Ain't Louie Fest (ALF).

Mame took the week off to spend with the boys and sent me over the border for the week. The weather was a bit dreary but the rivers were up and we had some great days of paddling. I even got to log some new runs on Clear Creek, the Obed River, and, my new favorite, the Little River (in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park).

Way to go! Sounds like a great trip!
