Halloween '09
We dove into our first Halloween in our new neighborhood with a potluck and trick-or-treating based out of our house. The first part was very successful and everyone had a great time. The second portion of the evening got off to a good start but was followed but a steady drizzle that turned into steady rain. The only casualty of the evening was Sam's Lego costume. By the time we got home it was soggy and muddy and the bumps were falling off.

The kids still had a great time and enjoyed all the neighborhood decorations. A nearby street is so busy that the city blocks off a portion to traffic. There was one haunted house. The other highlight is jack-o-lantern central where folks drop off pumpkins to be carved by the cart load. There were pumpkins along the street, on pedestals and even in the branches of trees.

Ford came to the party as a Cheetah...
and Jack as a CRNA.
