Sam at Six
It's been and eventful few days here in our new Asheville home. Saturday Sam turned six. Sunday we celebrated with friends and family by the lake at Slick Rock.
Here Sam points out the features of his triple layer Oreo cake to friends Francesca and Christina.
(Our baking hats are off to Dandy and Granddaddy Frank for translating Sam's description and design into reality - come visit, there's more cake in the freezer.)
(Thanks to Grandma Maxine and Grandpa Glenn for hosting and to Bunk and Jane for kabob-ing)
Monday we made a descent of the Tuckaseegee with Uncle Jake. Sam liked riding in the front holding the ropes like a cowboy steering his colt.
Tuesday he sported around on his new birthday scooter.
And Tuesday night he left his first tooth for the tooth fairy! It came out at school during a lesson. Sam's teacher was very impressed because he did not immediately jump up and interrupt but patiently raised his hand and waited to be called on to share his news.
