Gigi turns 90!
Back home at last and finally settled back in from Great Grandma Adelle's (aka Gigi) 90th birthday celebration in Durango, CO.
Sam and I were gone for two weeks and crammed a lot into our visit. The highlights for Sam included: flying on the big jets to Albuquerque, helping drive Uncle Dale's John Deere tractor (and steering the smaller tractor under dad's supervision), climbing a mountain with no trail with grandpa Glenn, rafting the Animas with Uncle Jake, riding the waterslide at the city recreation center by himself, catching grasshoppers nightly, riding the train to Silverton with grandpa, eating a lot of Aunt Reba's yummy pancakes, entertaining all the relatives that showed up for the party, and helping Gigi blow out all the candles on her birthday cakes. More pictures to come.
Meanwhile, Mame toiled away at the hospital. The big adventure was being on call for a few nights and getting cases that she was left to take care of mostly unsupervised. She also escaped the heat of the Piedmont for a weekend reconnaisance of Asheville with her mom. Best of all was getting everybody in our little family back together.

Exhausted just hearing about all the activity! Gigi looks wonderful. The cakes don't look too bad either! Glad you had a great time and had safe travels. Dandy Donna
