Cumberland Island
Our spring break adventure was backpacking on Cumberland for 4 days. We camped in the three backcountry sites and hiked to the north end and back. Great weather and lots of amazing wildlife including a bakers dozen of armadillos; Scarlet, Black racer and Easter Ribbon snakes; skinks and annoles; 2 species of tree frog; an alligator; signs of raccoon and bobcat; and lots of bird life including ibis and a bald eagle.
