Families Paddle Too
Another successful Memorial Day weekend gathering of paddling families at Smoky Mountain Meadows. Saturday was a big group day on the Tuck with Ford and Jack both in their own boats. Sam joined a friend for his first trip on the Upper Ocoee.
Sunday we opted for the Pigeon. Brian, Ben and Jack took turns guiding. Mame made her first descent in the Probe 14.
Capped the weekend with an exploratory run of the Oconoluftee near Cherokee. We paddled the three mile section from the Smokemont campground down the NPS visitors center. It was Ford and Jack's introduction to creeking in the Smokeys.
Back at the campground there was a lot of engineering to create pools for relaxing in the creek!

3rd grade camp out
Third grade had their camp out at Cove Creek in Pisgah National Forest at the start of May. Great weather and great activities - including a sliding rock just upstream of the campground!
