A welcomed stay at the indoor water park upon arriving in Kansas City.

Yes, the donut shop acquired a claw machine since Sam was here in July of 2014! Afterwards, we stopped at Walmart for gas and he "won" 3 plushies. Yes, we think he might move here one day.

Besides daily claw machine sitings, Sam's only other request was to return to Boonville, MO for donuts.

One of the nicest campground managers we have ever encountered works here. They were sorry we weren't coming back for the fish fry that night.

We had a nice dinner on the patio of JP's in Paducah before bedding down at Arrowhead Lake Campground in Johnston City, KY. We were happy with our mileage for the first day!

Sam & Mr. Jason. The great news is that Sam will be with Mr. Jason again in 8th grade.

Firsts - Sam had his first 'combat' roll (i.e. doing an eskimo roll when he needed it on the river, not just practicing in a calm spot) and Ford & Jack went over Nantahala Falls in a raft for the first time. Great group of folks and lots of kids to run around with back at the campground.
