Catawba Falls
About a year ago we made an attempt on Catawba Falls that we had to abandon thanks to little feet that wore out on the way up. Last week we returned for another shot and were successful at the 2.5 mile round trip hike, thanks in part to the cheerful support of the visiting Ms. Lynn.(Can you find Sam in the picture to the left?)

Holiday kick-off
It's been a couple of weeks now since we went on the hunt for the tree, but here are the hunters. It was an urban hunt this year with a quick trip to a lot down the hill from us on the banks of the Swannanoa.
