Colorado, part 2
Part 2 of our trip to Durango, we took up residence at the Durango Mountain Resort. The ski area has great summer activities for kids and lots of mountain bike trails for backpacking babies.
Sam got a half-day pass for the activities. He did the giant trampoline, climbing wall and mini-golf. But by far, his favorite was the Alpine Slide. You ride up on the ski lift and then zoom down a track on a plastic sled.
Here he goes up the lift.

Ready for launch.
And zooming down to the finish.
By the third or fourth trip he was barely braking and reaching top speeds. He informed us that he was going so fast because he had, "strategies". Turns out they were secrets too.

Colorado
Last month we made the trek to Durango to visit Great-grandmother Adelle, Aunt Reba and Uncle Dale. We also converged on their location with Grandpa Glenn and Grandma Maxine.
We learned some interesting things about traveling with twins. One is that the five of us can not sit in three adjoining seats. There's only one extra oxygen mask.
We had a great time visiting with Gigi, eating Dale's homemade ice cream, and counting the mule deer in the evening. Sam made the trip to Mesa Verde with grandma and grandpa. And to top it off we celebrated Gigi's birthday (a little early).
Sam even took some time out to give Gigi a little recital.
