2 weeks to go

If all goes according to schedule (i.e. nobody decides to show up early) then in two weeks Sam will be an older brother. Both boys were pointed in the wrong direction to deliver the old fashioned way so we are scheduled for delivery on May 12. Mame is a real trooper despite all the aches and pains of walking around with 12 pounds of babies.

Sam's dino-drawing was selected for a school district-wide display at the Asheville Mall food court.

But it was Mame who dressed like an artist when we went to see the exhibit.

Growing fast

Tuesday was our latest ultrasound and appointment with the OB. The boys continue to thrive and are both weighing in at nearly 6 pounds a piece. At this rate, they will soon catch up to their older brother's birth weight.

Mame is still managing to get around and off to work. In between she sleeps when she can - including on the futon in our living room while Sam is practicing the piano.

Last Sunday a group of co-workers plus Dandy gathered for a baby shower. Thanks to them and other generous folks we are very well equipped to receive the little guys.

Spring break has broken

Last week was spring break for Los Flemings. We enjoyed a couple of days in Sylva before settling in for the remainder of the week at Slick Rock. After a couple of rainy days we had some perfect spring weather.

Mame got lots of time to put her feet up, read her books and relax. Sam and I got in some fishing at the pond, and hiking in DuPont State Forest. And all together we had some competitive games of Sorry! courtesy of the Easter Bunny.

Eight friends, over fifteen years, and seven kids

We had a little mini Wofford Reunion here at Los Flemings World HQ today. Friends converged from Greenville, Greenwood and Boiling Springs for a beautiful spring day picnic in the park, Easter egg decorating and a rolly-polly hunt in the yard.

Thanks to everyone for making the trip up.

(and next time there will be 9 kids!)
