Rim to Rim to Rim, September 2022
To mark turning 50 Mame organized a Grand Canyon Rim to Rim hike. She recruited fellow CRNAs Melissa and Kit and Melissa's friend, Courtney. Phantom Ranch was closed so they ended up going rim to rim, having a layover day on the North Rim, and then hiking all the way back rim to rim.

Jack had his first mountain bike race in March at Brown's Creek Park in Elizabethton, NC. He finished 12th after digging his way out of the back half of the start. It was a great experience and his team, Pisgah Rage, had a strong showing. The team rides in the NC Interscholastic Cycling League under the national organization, NICA .

Winter break
We took advantage of winter break weekdays for the boys to go skiing at Beech and Sugar mountains. On the way home Saturday we had a great hike in the Linville Gorge Wilderness. After a quiet, rainy Sunday we made the most of our last day of break on Monday with a trip down Big Laurel - parents by canoe, boys on foot!
